Welcome to Bleuryde Kitesurf & Surf School—your gateway to unforgettable kitesurfing and surfing adventures in Essaouira, Morocco. Our founder, Youssef Belakhli, has been passionate about kiteboarding since 2004, when he first felt the pull of the wind and the power of the waves. As one of the early pioneers of kitesurfing in Essaouira, Youssef former co-founded the city’s first kitesurfing school, Bleukite, helping to grow the sport locally from the ground up. In the early days, when kiteboarding equipment was rare and extremely expensive, Youssef had no choice but to work abroad as a kitesurf and surf instructor in various international destinations. His dedication took him to different corners of the world, where he gained valuable experience teaching students of all levels while saving enough to bring his dream of a professional kite school in Essaouira to life. In 2007, he returned to Essaouira and established the first school, which has been welcoming riders from around the world ever since—still at the same beachfront location. Today 2024, that spirit continues under the new name: Bleuryde Watersports. With nearly 20 years of hands-on teaching experience, Youssef and his passionate team offer kitesurfing lessons, surf lessons, and wingfoil coaching with a personal touch, top-quality equipment, and a deep respect for the ocean lifestyle.
